Looking For Financial Stability ? Start Reciting Surah Waqiah Every Night

SuccessMuslim.com | June 10, 2009 | Comments (33)

Man is in constant  fear of poverty.  We all dream to live a debt free and financially stable life.  Current financial crisis has taken its toll on our society, and no one is secure from its impact. The credit card and the interest based banking system have made our life miserable.

We are investigating various options to increase our income that will help us to lead a financially stable life.  Many of us are looking to come out of debt.  We have our tuition fees and bank loans to payoff.  We do lot of hard work to achieve this dream to live a life of financial stability.

But we miss out something.  Surah Waqiah.  A surah which we can take close to our heart and make it part of our life . A surah that our beloved messenger (SA) promised as “source of wealth and protection against poverty”

The Prophet said, ‘Surah al Waqiah is the Surah of Wealth, so recite it and teach it to your children’ [Ibn Asakir]

The Prophet said, ‘Whoever recites surah al Waqiah at night would never encounter poverty’

We can easily make this Surah part of our life.  It is a very simple thing to do.  How much time it takes for a person to read this surah.  Hardly few minutes. Compared to the hours of wasted time we daily have, investing few minutes in a great sunnah and a great source of wealth, is something no wise person would ever want to miss.

You too can make that decision today.  A simple life changing decision. “From today, before I sleep, I will take few minutes to recite Surah Waqiah”

The act is simple, the result is immense.

May Allah accept

    Assalamualaikum,
There is a set of five “Special Surahs” in one of the Hadiths of the Prophet [SAAS] and the benefits they present, with the permission of Allah [SWT] of course.

Keep in mind, one should recite the following Surahs after each obligatory prayer.

Fajr: Surah Yaseen: Allah [SWT] will solve all ones problems

Duhr: Surah Fath: Allah [SWT] will protect one from Fitnah (corruption, misguidance)

Asr: Surah Naba: Allah [SWT] will grant one great wisdom and knowledge

Maghrib: Surah Waqi’ah: Allah [SWT] will grant one great prosperity in business and wealth and the issue of poverty and hunger never arises

Ishaa: Surah Mulk: Allah [SWT] will protect one from the punishment of the grave

It is said in the Hadith that whoever recites these five Surahs after each respective Salah will be among the Cup-bearers of Haud el Kawthar. Such a person will be alongside RasulAllah (SAAS) giving drinks of water to the Ummah.

May Allah make us from among them and the Righteous and make us of those who have incurred His Pleasure and not of those who have incurred His Displeasure. May He lead us further along the Right Path and increase us in Faith and strengthen our Belief in Him and never lead us astray.
    Ameen.

Wa alaykumesalam wa Rahmat Allahi wa Barakato.

FOR money we are working late hours and laughing like a idiot and talking
    nicely and begging
why dont we ask from ALLAH WHO created us
and HE says our name is written on our food which we consume

  • aliyya

wonderful surah, one should look to Allah (swt) for help in everything.

  • Moied

A wonderful surah.I personally experienced it and i have come to conclusion that GOD is there always there to listen and he does fullfil our prayers provided we try our level best to follow protocol of life which HE has given us in our Quran. Why ask others for our needs when HE has told us to ask HIM.Try to offer prayers daily, read Quran and do welfare…..you will see a difference in your life…after this your lens towards this world system shall change and you will be internally satisfied….

    Assalaamu’alaikum

I’ve come across this in regards to Surah al-Waaqiah

Could the author of this article research a bit more and clarify, because I would not want to act upon a Hadith that has been classified as da’eef

“With regard to the virtues of Soorat al-Waaqi’ah, there is a hadeeth which speaks of its virtues, but that hadeeth is not saheeh.

It was narrated from Shujaa’ from Abi Faatimah that ‘Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan (may Allaah be pleased with him) visited Ibn Mas’ood when he was sick. He said, “What is hurting?” He said, “My sins.” He said, “What do you need?” He said, “The mercy of my Lord.” He said, “Shall we not call the doctor for you?” He said, “The doctor made me ill.” He said, “Shall I order that your regular income [from the state] be restored to you?” He said, “You did not let me have it before today and I have no need of it now.” He said, ‘Then leave it to your family and dependents.” He said, “I have taught them something which, if they say it, they will never become poor. I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say, ‘Whoever recites al-Waaqi’ah every night will never become poor.”

    (Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Eemaan, 2/491. This hadeeth was classed as da’eef by Shaykh al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Da’eefah, 289).”

    Allaah knows best
