This is the first article in the series “SuccessMuslim Productive Tools Review”. The goal is to review the best productive tools in the Internet world , and see how we can use them to improve productivity in our lives.
In this first article of the series, we will review a cool to-do web based app “teuxdeux.com”
1) Free and Simple to use : TeuxDeux (pronounced “to-do”) is a free, simple, web based to-do list management application. It boasts a total of 5 features. When signed into your account the application is essentially a one page web app, displaying 5 calendar days and offering five columns to add/delete your to-do items for each respective day.
2) Organizing your to-do list is simple — quickly populate your calendar day via the top level input box, and just drag and drop the items to reorganize your lists. Complete a task just by clicking on it, and delete an item forever by clicking on its red X. Forget to complete a task or tasks for any given day? Login the next morning and TeuxDeux moves those tasks into the current day’s queue.
3) Ability to see a week view and strike off my to-do’s
One of the great benefit I found in this to-do app was the ability to “strike-off” my to-do. It gave a great sense of happiness to see my tasks strike out . Off course after I completed them !
4) Someday list
The app has a list called “someday”. This comes in handy when there are tasks I want to do without having a specific dates to it. Or may be something I want to do, but haven’t decided when.
5) No GTD Contexts
Known in the GTD world as context lists, the current TeuxDeux version is limited to the context of the user. There are no additional organization filters provided . I created a work and a personal account. And I switch between them by logging to either my work or my personal account – based on where I am.
Review Summary :
Overall the app is very simple, easy to use. With minimum features, it gives what you want – a place to write down our to-dos and strike them off – when we finish them ! You can visit the website at http://teuxdeux.com
