My Life Aha Moments : Taking Personal Responsibility For My Life
By SuccessMuslimWe all have Aha moments. It is sometimes great to record them, so you can come back to it anytime. I decided to record and share with you my Aha moments in my life ! Here is the first one.
Today suddenly I started seeing the world 
in a different way. You might ask – Oh. So, you put sunglass ? No No. My same eyes. But how I see the world with it suddenly changed. Here is what happened.
I got a project to do for my friend. She said she will pay me for the project, and I said – Oh yes, lets do it ! And she wanted me to finish the work in one week. I was good to finish it in a week, and wanted to bring in one person to help me with the project.
But I will get the person only next week, and I might not be able to have him for now. The person giving me the project called me and said – “Can you help finish it this weekend ?”. I was like – what ? Then, she explained me how much this project is important and she wanted to have it ready by next week Monday itself.
I said – sure. I will do the project this weekend for you, and have it ready on Monday.
Suddenly I thought to myself – hey, look what I said now. I never said – “Oh. my friend who has to help me won’t be there this week”. “Oh, I have other work this weekend”. No. Nothing. I just accepted it, and whether I get help or not, I was determined to finish the project.
Then I said to myself – if the other person didn’t help me this week, does that make me angry with them ? No. Then, why should I be unhappy with those who is not helping me with my goals. They will help me when they can. Right ?
Same way – I told myself – if I can take personal responsibility for this small project, and do it without depending on anything, why can’t I do the same for my life. Why can’t I take personal responsibility and leadership for my life ?
Waw…That was a truly magical moment for me. I felt some kind of special power I got (Not a spiderman !). The way I am seeing the world got changed. The way I am setting the goals got changed. Now I have more clarity and direction. A new beginning in my life. To take personal responsibility and become the team lead for the great project called – my life !
Is’t it a great aha moment. It indeed is and will always be for me ..
